Nutrients for Pregnancy

Good Nutrients For Mom-To-Be During Pregnancy 

 They say that any pregnant woman should eat for two people, but this is somewhat untrue!

 Logically, a pregnant woman needs to provide good nutrition for two individuals as the growing baby gets all its nourishment from its mother through the umbilical cord. Thus, a balanced and good quality diet is very important. 

 A well-balanced diet should include food from the different food groups : dairy products, fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, eggs, fat and carbohydrates. However, the total energy intake for a pregnant woman should be maintained at approximately 2500 calories per day (which is an addition of about 300-500 calories from a non-pregnant lady's intake).

Poria cocos (Fu Ling)

Inflammation. The world probably makes you think of a knee swollen from running or a puffed-up pimple on your face-common problems that can be cured with the help of some ice or OTC (Over-The-Counter) medicines (drugs that are safe and effective for use by the general public without a prescription). 

However, there's another kind of inflammation that means something else entirely; chronic inflammation - a slow, silent disturbance that never shuts off. You can't feel it. You can't be tested for it. Yet it has become a medical hot topic. More and more research shows that chronic inflammation is involved in heavy-hitting illnesses.

Poria Cocos

Tahukah anda bahawa badan kita boleh menjadi petunjuk kepada kesihatan kita ? 

Menurut Perubatan Tradisional Cina, tubuh badan setiap individu boleh dibahagikan kepada empat kategori iaitu neutral, kesukaran pernafasan, kekurangan Qi dan kelemahan Qi. Tubuh badan kita boleh berubah dari masa ke masa. Perubahan dalaman badan kita ini akan mempengaruhi perasaan, kelakuan dan bagaimana badan kita bertindak balas kepada punca-punca penyakit. 



 Kenal pasti jenis tubuh badan anda! 


 1. NEUTRAL : Anda seorang individu yang bertenaga dan mempunyai keupayaan untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan persekitaran yang baru. Ini bermakna and mempunyai asas kongenital serta fungsi badan yang baik dari segi fizikal dan mental. 

 2. KESUKARAN PERNAFASAN : Anda adalah seorang individu yang mengalami peluh berlebihan. Anda juga mempunyai masalah berat  badan berlebihan, perut buncit dan mempunyai anggota badan yang gempal. Ia adalah disebabkan oleh metabolisme rendah yang mungkin berkaitan dengan fungsi paru-paru, limpa atau sistem buah pinggang yang lemah.

Secara ringkas, Qi dikenali sebagai "jiwa atau tenaga dalaman" badan. Dalam teori Perubatan Traditional Cina (TMC), QI adalah bahan penting yang membentuk tubuh manusia dan mengandungi banyak fungsi seperti menggalakkan, pemanasan, mempertahankan, menyatukan dan mengekalkan.




Apakah yang Qi lakukan terhadap tubuh badan anda ?


1. MENGGALAKKAN :  Qi menggalakkan pembentukan dan peredaran darah serta menyokong metabolisme cecair badan.

2. PEMANASAN : Qi memanaskan badan supaya suhu badan kekal pada suhu tertentu agar fungsi fisiologi dalaman mampu berfungsi secara normal.

Apakah makanan semulajadi yang biasa digunakan dalam tonik Qi ?

Terdapat banyak pilihan untuk meningkatkan tenaga seseorang dengan segera dan pada masa yang sama membantu mencapai keadaan badan yang neutral agar menuju ke arah gaya hidup yang sihat. Poria cocos adalah sejenis cendawan / kulat yang lazimnya tumbuh di atas pokok pain dan ianya juga dikenali sebagai "Poria", "Fu-Ling", "Tuckahoe", "Indian Bread" dan "Hoelen".

Pada zaman dahulu, Poria cocos dipanggil "Empat pil Seasons Magic", disebabkan ciri-ciri perubatan dan juga kesesuaiannya  untuk diamalkan pada bila-bila masa tanpa mengira musim (tiada had empat musim). Poria cocos digunakan secara tradisional sebagai tonik tenaga (Qi), ia juga memberi manfaat kepada organ-organ dalaman. Poria cocos berkesan dalam meningkatkan imunisasi seseorang secara ketara. Ianya memberi kesan perubatan yang sama seperti cendawan-cendawan lain dalam kategori tonik.
